My in-car charger charges my phone/tablet slowly or does not charge it at all

The charging speed and results of in-car wired chargers in the market vary by their designs. To ensure that your phone/tablet can be charged properly, perform the following steps.

Check whether the charger plug is inserted properly

You can reconnect the charger to ensure that the charger is properly connected to the car.

Check whether the in-car port is dirty

If there is dirt or foreign objects in the port, clean it before charging.

Check the charging ports on the phone/tablet and charger

Check whether the charging ports of the phone/tablet and charger are deformed or damaged. If so, back up your data and take your phone/tablet and proof of purchase to an HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.

Avoid using your phone/tablet while charging it

When you're charging your phone/tablet in the car, avoid running power-intensive apps (such as navigation and video apps) as they may slow down the charging speed and stop your phone/tablet from being fully charged.

Ensure an appropriate in-car temperature

For safety reasons, the charging speed may be affected if the temperature is too high (higher than 45℃) or too low (lower than 10℃).

If the issue persists

It is recommended that you use the HONOR standard wired charger for verification.

  • If your phone/tablet can be charged using the standard charger, it indicates that your in-car charger is faulty. It is recommended that you use an official HONOR in-car charger.
  • If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.
