If your phone screen has display issues, such as color distortion, overly bright colors, or color cast (a yellowish, reddish, bluish, greenish, or whitish cast), here are some troubleshooting ideas.
The screen is displayed in monochrome
- Check whether Away time has been set on your phone from . Your phone will be displayed in monochrome during away time.
- Check whether eBook mode is enabled by searching for and accessing eBook mode in Settings. When this feature is enabled, your phone will be displayed in monochrome, which is more suitable for reading.
If eBook mode is not available, it indicates that your phone does not support this feature.
The screen color is distorted or tinted, appearing yellowish, reddish, bluish, greenish, or whitish at all times
- Ensure that Color inversion is disabled in Settings.
- Adjust the color temperature: Open Settings, search for and access Color mode & temperature, then set a color temperature that is comfortable for you.
- Check whether Eye Comfort is enabled: Open Settings, and then search for and access Eye Comfort.
Eye Comfort mode effectively reduces blue light and adjusts the screen to display warmer colors, relieving eye fatigue and protecting your eyesight. When this mode is enabled, the screen will take on a yellowish or reddish tint. Enable or disable Eye Comfort mode according to your needs.
- It is recommended that you disable Color correction in Settings. Color correction mode is designed to make viewing the screen easier for users with color vision impairments. Enabling this mode will result in a strong color cast.
- Ensure that Simulate color space is disabled if it is available in Settings.
If the issue persists
Reset all settings on your phone.
Reset all settings will reset your Wi-Fi, mobile data, Bluetooth, home screen layout, fingerprint recognition, face recognition, and lock screen password settings, and will also disable App Twin and clear your twin app data.
If the issue still remains unsolved, there may be an issue with your phone's screen. In this case, back up your data and take your phone and proof of purchase to an HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.
