Problem
Your phone might automatically dial numbers or open apps by mistake when it's in your pocket.
Cause
- If no screen lock password is set or the device is not locked before being placed in a pocket;
- The device was accidentally unlocked before being placed in a pocket or gets unlocked while in the pocket;
- Anti-mistouch prevention isn't properly activated or used.
Solution
- Before putting the device in your pocket, set a screen lock password and lock the screen
by going to . Make sure to lock your screen before putting the device in your pocket.
- To avoid accidental unlocking before placing the device in your pocket or while it is in your pocket.
- Check face recognition settings:
If enabled, ensure it's set to Slide to unlock instead of Direct unlock. If not, change the settings from Direct unlock to Slide to unlock. Path:
Accidental face unlock may be triggered before placing the device in your pocket. The following settings might accidentally trigger face unlock; please adjust your settings accordingly (you can search for these settings in the settings menu):
- Raise to wake;
- If full-screen Always On Display is enabled, then turn off Tap or swipe to wake, or switch to partial Always On Display;
- Double-tap to wake.
Consider disabling face recognition temporarily if accidental touches persist.
- For devices with a side fingerprint sensor, touching the power button before putting the device in your pocket or while it is in your pocket may accidentally trigger fingerprint unlocking:
Ensure the finger leaves the power button after turning off the screen to avoid accidental unlocks. Re-touching the power button with a registered fingerprint can unlock the phone.

- Activate and use Mistouch Prevention Correctly:
Go to, enable Mistouch prevention enabled. For effective anti-mistouch, the phone should be placed face down (camera facing down) and in a dimly lit environment (e.g., Keep the phone screen away from your thighs) in your pocket. Make sure the screen is off.
