My phone/tablet unexpectedly powers off or restarts |
Perform the following:
1 Confirm that your phone/tablet's battery is sufficient
Check if your phone/tablet has sufficient power. Your phone/tablet may power off automatically if the battery level drops below 3%. To avoid battery damage, do not power on your phone/tablet until the battery has been charged to at least 3%.
2 Check if you have pressed the Power button by mistake
Your phone/tablet may restart if you put it in your pocket or bag and the Power button is pressed unexpectedly. The phone/tablet will restart if the Power button is pressed for over 10 seconds.
3 Check whether the phone/tablet is being used in a high- or low-temperature environment
If the ambient temperature is too low or too high, your phone/tablet's protection mechanisms will be triggered. Your phone/tablet's battery works best when the ambient temperature is between 0°C and 35°C.
4 Check whether scheduled power on/off is set
Open Settings and search for Scheduled power on/off. Check whether this feature is enabled.
5 Check whether the storage space of the device is sufficient
Another possible cause is that the device contains excessive cache files and the storage space is insufficient. Clean up residual files, uninstall apps that are not frequently used, and free up at least 20% of the phone/tablet storage using System Manager.
6 Try to remove the external memory card
Memory card errors may cause your phone/tablet to automatically power off or restart. If you are using a memory card, remove the card and check whether the issue is resolved.
7 Try Factory data reset or restore the system
This issue may also occur if the system software is abnormal. It is recommended that you back up your data and perform Factory data reset. If the issue persists, download the HonorSuite software on a computer and restore your phone/tablet system.
8 If the issue persists...
If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Honor Customer Service Center for assistance.
