My phone/tablet overheats when watching videos or live streaming content
My phone/tablet overheats when watching videos or live streaming content |
Problem:
My phone/tablet overheats when watching videos or live streaming content.
Cause:
When watching videos or live streaming content, your phone/tablet screen remains on while the CPU and GPU work continuously. This increases power consumption and your phone/tablet may heat up, especially when mobile data is in use.
Solution:
- Open Settings, and enable automatic screen brightness adjustment to reduce power consumption.
- It is recommended that you lower the media volume in speaker mode to avoid excessive power consumption and overheating.
- Disable the real-time commenting feature to further reduce power consumption and heating.
- It is recommended that you watch videos or live broadcasts in a stable network environment.
Your phone's/tablet's antenna and other hardware are put under a heavy load when you're watching videos online or live streaming, especially when the signal is unstable. This is because your phone/tablet increases signal reception and transmission power automatically, resulting in power consumption increasing and heat being generated.
- If you are watching an HD video, the power consumption may increase due to a high video resolution. Try lowering the video resolution to see if this resolves the problem.
- Avoid playing games or watching videos while charging your phone/tablet, as this may make the overheating worse.
- Close background apps that are not in use to avoid excessive power consumption and overheating.
