我的荣耀 开启荣耀之旅
I've had the Honor MagicWatch 2 for a little over a week now and I couldn't be happier. First off, I received earlier than expected which is always a plus! Straight away, the packaging is classy, its smooth and sturdy. (if you're interested, take a look at my "First Look" post I put up when I received it... https://community.hihonor.com/uk/topic/16127/detail.htm)
The watch itself looks great! I love the design and the added touch of the red ring around the top button is really nice. On the wrist it feels great. The AMOLED display is stunning, it's bright with crisp lines, clear lines and punchy colours, it can be seen easily in all light settings and has an auto brightness feature which comes in very handy at night as some amoled displays are far too bright and manual adjust whilst half sleep is not convenient. The MagicWatch 2's display, to me, is perfect.
The MagicWatch 2 connects to your phone via bluetooth and is accessed through the "Health" app.
There's a huge selection of watch faces, The watch comes loaded with some pre installed faces but, through the Health app you can download and install many more and it seems they are being updated regularly, with more being added yesterday... You can also add your own custom faces by loading your own photos on to the watch, again via the Health app, letting you scroll upto 5 Personal Watch faces. The quality of your custom watch faces are incredibly crisp and clear.
Now on to the Main Features of the MagicWatch 2... And there's a few! It's fully waterproof upto 50 metres, It tracks your Heart Rate, Stress Levels, Sleep Patterns, Workouts, Step Count and more. It tells you the weather, there's a find my phone feature, a timer, stopwatch, a flash light and even an Alarm to wake you up in the morning, my only gripe with the alarm is that the MagicWatch 2 doesn't make you a coffee for when you wake up (maybe something to look into in the future? Ha!)
Another great feature is the ability to answer and make calls through the MagicWatch 2 (the call quality through the on board speaker is actually really good, I've not tried through wireless headphones as I currently do not own a pair, but I'd imagine the sound quality through headphones is excellent). You can receive selected message notifications also, including text messages, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger although, there is no way to reply to any messages that you've received (this could be implemented in the future, using some form of voice dictation as the device already has a built in speaker, so maybe its something that HONOR has planned?).
Music... Ever wanted to go for a run and listen to music but you don't have anywhere to safely put your phone whilst running? That's cool, load the MagicWatch 2 with upto 2gb of music from your phone and leave your phone at home, as long as you've got a set of Bluetooth headphones (or you don't mind listening via the inbuilt speaker, not sure how well you'd here it whilst running along with outside noise though?) you're good to go... This watch really is awesome!
The Battery life is unreal... I took this photo a week after I had received the watch, I've used it a lot over the last week and I still can't believe it rocking 13% battery life, now, I know its not the full 14 days but I've been using it constantly, had the Always On Display set, I've listened to music, answered calls, messed about with settings, set alarms, tinkering with different watch faces etc, the battery life is a huge step above the rest.
The fitness side of this watch is where it really shines... The MagicWatch 2 offers a list of both outdoor and indoor sports to track, including running, cycling, swimming, hiking and rowing, it also includes 13 running courses with 1 to 5 star difficulty ratings allowing you to train at your own pace. The built in GPS allows the app to provide you a map of your walk/run/hike. The Health app, which has worked seamlessly with the MagicWatch 2 provides a detailed rundown of your exercise records, alongside your stress, heart rate, sleep and weight records.
Overall, HONOR's MagicWatch 2 is amazing! It's everything I want and more in a smart watch and at the price point, you cannot beat it. It will stand up against any of the most expensive smart watches on the market and put up a seriously strong fight. Mine is now my daily wearable and I can't see me needing to change it anytime in the foreseeable future... Until maybe the MagicWatch 3. Again, thank you HONOR, you have surpassed my expectations and completely blown me away!! Incredible work!
