If this issue occurs with the primary SIM card:
- 5G is not enabled: Swipe down from the top of the screen to display the shortcuts menu, touch and hold Mobile data to enter the settings screen, and tap Enable 5G.
If your phone supports PrivateSpace or has multiple users, you cannot change mobile network settings in PrivateSpace or as a guest or sub-user. Please switch to the main account and then proceed to step 1.
- Use VoLTE service: If you have a 5G plan, please contact your carrier to enable the VoLTE HD calls service. 5G network connection may be affected if you have a 5G plan but did not enable VoLTE HD calls.
- Power Saving mode is enabled: 5G will be disabled if Power Saving mode is enabled, you can manually enable 5G if necessary.
- 5G Power Saving mode is enabled:Search for and access 5G Power Saving mode in Settings (If this option is not available, then this feature is not supported). Enable5G Power Saving modeand the phone will switch between 4G and 5G to save power. If you only want to use 5G, you can disable this mode.
- Network issue: The 5G network coverage is in its early stages and may not cover all areas. If the issue occurs with other phones nearby using SIM cards from the same carrier, there may be no 5G coverage in your location. Move to a different area, or consult your carrier.
- Upgrade system or Reset network settings: please upgrade your phone to the latest version, if the phone is already the latest version, we suggest you search and enter Reset network settings in Settings to reset the network settings of this SIM card.
Reset network settings will clear all your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection data, and requires lock screen password for verification.
- Restart your phone or switch Airplane mode on and off: The configuration of some networks may cause your phone to be unable to return to the 5G network for a short period, which can be fixed by restarting your phone or switching Airplane mode on and off.
If this issue occurs with the secondary SIM card:
- For phones with 5G support on the main card only: When one of the dual cards is set as the primary card, this card supports 5G and the secondary card can only support 4G/3G/2G.
- For phones supporting dual 5G (check Product Parameters to see if the phone supports dual 5G):
- Dual 5G is turned off by default. If dual 5G is not turned on, the secondary card does not support 5G.
Turn on dual 5G: Settings > Mobile network > Mobile data> More > Dual SIM 5G
- The secondary card only supports NSA, if there is no NSA coverage in the network, the secondary card will not support 5G.
