Touchscreen of a mobile phone or tablet fails to respond or is insensitive to touch operations performed at touchscreen edges |
Problem
The touchscreen of a mobile phone or tablet fails to respond or is insensitive to touch operations performed at the touchscreen edges.
Cause
The edges of the screen are designed to be less responsive to prevent accidental touches when your hand is in contact with the edge of the screen. This is an intended design of the phone, not a screen malfunction.
Solution
- Touch operations should be performed in the center area of the touchscreen, which is more sensitive than the edges.
If this issue is affecting your experience with the phone, please refer to General troubleshooting for touchscreen issues for troubleshooting.
