My phone/tablet heats up when I play games
My phone/tablet heats up when I play games |
When playing games, your phone's/tablet's CPU, GPU, memory, and other components run at a high speed, and the screen and speaker keep working, resulting in high power consumption. As a result, your phone's/tablet's temperature will increase to a temperature higher than when your phone/tablet is running apps that are not power-intensive, such as for making calls and chatting online. To prevent your phone/tablet from overheating, refer to the following:
Avoid playing games when your phone/tablet is charging
Your phone/tablet heats up when it is charging. If you play games while charging, your phone/tablet will heat up even more.
Play games in an environment with a normal temperature
When the temperature is relatively high (such as when you are outdoors during summer), your phone/tablet cannot dissipate heat efficiently. It is therefore likely to overheat in such environments.
Though the aforementioned operations can effectively reduce your phone's/tablet's heat, they may affect your gaming experience. Other ways you can reduce the phone's/tablet's temperature are listed below:
- Reduce the screen brightness so the screen consumes less power.
- Lower the media volume in speaker mode by pressing the Volume down button, or use a headset to reduce the heat generated by the speaker.
- Disable certain gaming effects and lower the screen resolution. The power consumption will increase if you use more gaming effects and a higher resolution.
Restart your phone/tablet
If the phone/tablet heats up when you are playing games in an environment where the ambient temperature is around 25°C and is not being charged at the same time, restart your phone/tablet and check whether the issue can be resolved. If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.
