[Paris, France, May 21, 2024] – The first HONOR Night was held in the center of Paris at Champs-Élysées Avenue, discussed on innovation empowers the future and fosters sustainable development. The event convened leading figures from the realms of technology, art, and academia to envision the future between technology, art, and sustainable development.

At the opening remarks, CEO of HONOR, George Zhao highlighted the company's unwavering dedication to openness and collaborative innovation as fundamental to achieving sustainability. Our continuous technological advancements aim to foster a more responsible, inclusive, and sustainable world, resonance with our industry chain partners to empower youth and collectively shape a sustainable future."
Philippe Lucas, EVP at Orange, underscored the essential role of cross-sector collaboration in promoting sustainable innovation. Alvaro Ramos, Vice President at Qualcomm, concentrated on "Innovation and Open Coalitions for Sustainable Development," emphasizing the critical need for a global open digital ecosystem and its pivotal role in driving technological and commercial innovations.

Innovation Empowers Youth: Expanding Platforms for Young Talents
HONOR is dedicated to uncovering and nurturing the innovative potential of young talents globally, harnessing the bold imaginations by cutting-edge technologies and devices, and conveying their thoughts on the interact of technology and art in the digital age.
The exhibition showcases a diverse collection of works from previous HONOR Global Design Award winners, featuring over 20 unique pieces from regions including France, Italy, the Czech Republic, China, and Malaysia. The exhibition highlights various art forms, including scroll art, oil paintings, and interactive installations. Notably, the piece "What Matters Between Stones" by Shi Yuan from the Central Academy of Fine Arts captivated attendees with its creative interpretation and technical execution.
In 2024, HONOR inaugurated the first European division of the HONOR Talents Global Design Award, creating a regional jury composed of esteemed academics and artists. This initiative provides a prestigious international platform for Europe's and the world's youth, enabling them to exhibit their talents and achieve their aspirations.
During the Youth Empowerment Art Salon, Christian Guellerin, Dean of L’École de design Nantes Atlantique, and Yrjö Sotamaa, Honorary Professor at Aalto University, stressed the crucial integration of art and technology. They explored how educational institutions and corporations can collaborate to foster empowering environments for young individuals, urging them to merge artistic and technological disciplines innovatively, and shared their positive outlook on the future of design innovations.
Martin Xu, Senior Vice President of HONOR, underscored the vast potential of global industry chain collaboration and innovation demonstrated at the event at the closing remarks. The launch of the European division of the HONOR Talents Global Design Award marks a significant step in HONOR's commitment to empowering global youth empowerment and developing an international platform for youth engagement.
