With its 0.95-inch AMOLED touchscreen and 240 x 120, 282 ppi resolution, the band's display is a real plus. The colours are vivid, the visuals sharp, and the large, clear screen means even my grandparents can enjoy it!

You can choose from three colours: black, blue, and coral.

The HONOR Band 5 comes with five free digital watch faces. That's a good start, but it's the tip of the iceberg.

Just connect the band to your phone, open the HUAWEI Health app, and you can browse a vast range of watch faces in the store. You'll even be able to customise the watch face with later OS updates.

Monitor blood oxygen saturation on the go

An innovative feature of the band is that it measures my blood oxygen saturation. For fitness bands in this price range, that's unheard of.

This helps me keep on top of my health and pushes me to be active. As long as I'm wearing the band, I can measure my blood oxygen saturation wherever I am.

Scientific sleep monitoring and personalised suggestions

Another great thing about the HONOR Band 5 is that it analyses my sleep, and provides me with in-depth scientific data. It also gives me helpful tips if it finds any problems with my sleeping patterns.

Multiple sports modes (including swimming!)

The band has a wide range of exercise modes and sends detailed data to the HUAWEI Health app. This helps me better analyse my workout results so I can keep making improvements. It's also resistant to sweat and dirt, so I don't have to worry about it getting dirty!

I can also track swimming data, which is great for pool addicts like me. The band detects my swimming stroke and records relevant data, such as my calorie consumption. It's also water resistant in up to 50 meters of water. Of course I wouldn't dare to go that deep, but it just feels good knowing that my band could survive and tell the tale!

Considering the price, the HONOR Band 5 is better than I'd expected. It's more than just a fitness band too. It notifies me when I get incoming calls and messages, serves as a remote camera control, and I can use the Find my phone feature if I ever lose my smartphone (fingers crossed this won't happen). By combining advanced health analysis with a stylish design, the HONOR Band 5 gives me everything I need.
