When a BSOD issue occurs, a stop code will be displayed. You can use a dedicated tool called BlueScreenView to obtain this stop code.

  1. Download from the following address: https://bluescreenview.en.softonic.com/download.

  2. To install, perform the following operations.

  3. Open BlueScreenViewer to automatically load the minidump file stored under C:\Windows\MiniDump. You can also go to Options > Advanced Options > Load a single MiniDump File to load each installation package in the folder.

  4. Click Properties to see 0x0000003b displayed next to Bug Check Code. This is the stop code.

Cause:

(1) Mainly from the installation of faulty for incompatible hardware (such as BIOS), drivers, and software.

(2) Also potentially from incompatibility between device drivers, system service, antivirus and backup tools, and the newly updated Windows system.

Solution:

Use PC Manager to check the computer hardware, especially that related to the memory. If there are hardware issues, bring your computer, proof of purchase, and warranty to an authorized Honor Service Center for assistance. If there are no hardware issues, perform the following operations.

(1) If you have not installed the latest patch version, please download it.

Click the Windows icon and then the Settings icon, then go to Update & Security > Windows Update > Checking for updates. Download and install the latest patch version and restart your computer.

(2) If this issue occurs after a new driver or software has been installed, uninstall or disable the driver or software. If it occurs after hardware has been installed, remove the hardware.

(3) If you are unable to start your computer, try starting it in Safe mode. Then, remove or disable newly installed drivers or programs.

To do this, perform the following operations. Shut down your computer, press and hold F8 until the Honor logo is displayed on the startup screen. Click Troubleshoot, and go to Advanced options > See more recovery options> Startup Settings > Restart. Press F4 and select Enable Safe Mode. Open Control Panel and click Program and Features.

Cause:

This issue is generally caused by hardware failure, for example, the installation of incompatible hardware or a problem with the RAM.

Cause:

This happens when Windows kernel has detected an invalid or unknown process.

Solution:

Use PC Manager to check the computer hardware, especially that related to the memory. If there are hardware issues, bring your computer, proof of purchase, and warranty to an authorized Honor Service Center for assistance. If there are no hardware issues, perform the following operations.

(1) If the name of a driver is displayed on the blue screen, uninstall or disable the driver.

(2) If this issue occurs after a driver or software has been installed, uninstall or disable the driver or software.

(3) If Win32K.sys is displayed on the blue screen, the issue may be caused by the interference of third-party remote control apps. To resolve this, press the Win and R keys at the same time to display the Run window, and enter services.msc to find and disable the app.

(4) If you are unable to start your computer, try starting it in Safe mode. Then, remove or disable newly installed drivers or programs.

Cause:

If the stop code is displayed as "0x00000023", the issue usually occurs in the system partition for files that have the format of FAT16 or FAT32. If the stop code is displayed as "0x00000024", the issue usually occurs in the partition for NFTS.sys. Both types of issues may be caused by disk damage.

They may also be caused by disk fragmentation, frequent reading or writing tasks in files, an excessive amount of data in operation, or the installation of incompatible software or antivirus programs.

Solution:

Use PC Manager to check the computer hardware, especially that related to the memory. If there are hardware issues, bring your computer, proof of purchase, and warranty to an authorized Honor Service Center for assistance. If there are no hardware issues, perform the following operations.

(1) If this issue occurs after a new driver or software has been installed, uninstall or disable the driver or software.

(2) Disable all newly installed drivers. If file names such as acpi.sys are displayed on the blue screen, the issue may be caused by faulty drivers.

(3) If the patch on your computer is not from the latest version, download the latest patch version.

Click the Windows icon and then the Settings icon, and go to Update & Security > Windows Update > Checking for updates. Download and install the latest patch version and restart your computer.

(4) If you are unable to start your computer, try starting it in Safe mode. Then, remove or disable newly installed drivers or programs.

(1) If the corresponding file name is displayed in the blue screen, the issue is caused by file loss or damage. Download the file again from the Internet or copy it from another computer, and place the file in the SYSTEM32 folder.

(2) If no file name is displayed, the issue may be caused by corruption to Windows Registry. Reset your system or use the backed-up Windows Registry data to recover the Registry.

(3) If the issue persists, back up important data, connect your computer to a power source, and press and hold F10 during startup to restore your computer to its factory settings.

Restoring your system to the factory settings will clear all your data in the C drive. Back up any important data before you proceed.

Cause:

This issue occurs when a necessary registry file cannot be loaded. It is caused by a corrupt or missing file. The registry files may have been corrupted because of hard disk corruption or other hardware problem.

Solution:

Click Troubleshoot, and go to Advanced options > See more recovery options > Startup Settings > Restart. Press F4 and select Enable Safe Mode. Press the Win and R keys at the same time to display the Run window and enter sfc /scannow and press Enter.

(2) If you can enter Safe mode, use the commands "copy" or "expand" to obtain the corrupt file.

(3) If the issue persists, back up important data, connect your computer to a power source, press and hold F10 during startup to restore your computer to its factory settings.

Restoring your system to the factory settings will clear all your data in the C drive. Back up any important data before you proceed.

Cause:

This occurs when a user-mode subsystem, such as WinLogon or the Client Server Run-Time Subsystem (CSRSS), has been fatally compromised and security can no longer be guaranteed. Microsoft Windows cannot run without WinLogon or CSRSS.

Solution:

(1) If this issue occurs in a user-mode device driver, system service, or a third-party app, uninstall or disable the corresponding program. If it occurs after new hardware has been installed, remove the hardware.

(2) Disable all newly installed drivers.

(3) If you are unable to start your computer, try starting it in Safe mode. Then, remove or disable newly installed drivers or programs.

To do this, perform the following operations. Shut down your computer, press and hold F8 until the HONOR logo is displayed on the startup screen.
