Problem:
After the user's Garmin watch is connected to a phone via Bluetooth, the phone receives notifications but the watch does not receive any notifications.
Solution:
Perform the following steps:
- Open the Garmin Connect app, touch the menu in the upper left corner, and go to Settings > Notifications > App Notifications to allow specific apps to send notifications to your Garmin watch.
- Open Settings, search for and access Battery optimization, go to , find Connect, and set it to Don't allow.
- Open Settings, search for and access Notification access, and turn on the switch next to Smart Notifications/Connect.
- Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the Recent task screen and touch the lock icon (or swipe down on the app preview) to lock the app .
- Open Settings, search for and access Launch or App launch, touch Launch or App launch, touch Connect, and enable Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background.
- If the issue persists, disable and enable Notification access on your phone and try again.
