The inability of Huawei and Honor to source from TSMC will almost also be reflected in the Honor V40 series. It is no coincidence that it is rumored that both the Huawei Mate 40 series and the more remote P50 should use non-proprietary chipsets. Consequently, even the next top of the range Honor should not make a difference and in this case MediaTek would be the chosen partner. To move the hardware sector of the three smartphones provided, or Honor V40, V40 Pro and V40 Pro +, would be the Dimensity 1000+.
This is stated by the Chinese leaker @ReallyAssen on Weibo, according to which the Honor V40 series would be devoid of the canonical HiSilicon Kirin chipsets. In their place there would be the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, integrated on all 3 models of the high-end smartphone family. Contrary to what one might think, according to this source, the first to be announced would be Honor V40 Pro +.
