Problem

When the computer is powered off without the adapter plugged in, it cannot be powered on by pressing the power button once. In this case, the computer can be started up only if the power button is long pressed or pressed twice within 5 seconds.

Cause

The startup status of the boot module inside the computer will be different with the adapter plugged in and without the adapter plugged in. When the adapter is plugged in, the chip responsible for boot turns off the power to prolong the standby time. In this case, you need to wake up the chip before starting up the computer by pressing the power button.

When the adapter is not plugged in and the power button is pressed once (less than 0.5s), the power of the internal boot chip of the computer is not fully started up, and the computer cannot be started up. At this time, the power of the boot chip has been partially turned on. On the basis of the previous boot action, the power of the boot chip will be fully turned on, and the computer can be started up normally.

Long press (more than 0.5s) means pressing the power button once. After the long press, the power of the boot chip will be fully turned on and the computer can be started up properly.

Solution

When the computer is started up without the adapter plugged in, you are advised to press the power button for more than 0.5 seconds to start the computer.
