My Outlook account can't receive emails or sync contacts and calendar events |
Perform the following to troubleshoot the issue:
1 Check whether there is an email describing the required operations for synchronizing Emails in the mailbox.
Due to Microsoft security policies, you need to confirm the login from a non-Outlook account on your mobile phone. The procedure is as follows:
- Open Email, find the email describing required operations for synchronizing emails, touch Switch email app or Touch here, choose to open with Browser, and you will then be directed to an Internet browser page.
- Return to the Email screen, swipe down to refresh the email list, and the email describing required operations for synchronizing emails will disappear.
- After the synchronization is complete, you can receive and send emails, and view calendar events and contacts.
2. Check whether the switches for synchronizing emails, contacts, and calendar events are enabled.
Open Email, go to Settings > Accounts, and enable Sync Email, Sync contacts, and Sync Calendar.
